Tax Credits & Incentives

Two tax credits are available to businesses, local and tribal governments and nonprofits however in general a project owner can only claim one of the tax credits for each property. The investment tax credit (ITC) which reduces your federal income tax liability for a percentage of the cost of your solar installation within the tax year. And the production tax credit (PTC) which is a kilowatt-hour tax credit for all electricity generated by solar and any other qualifying technology within the first 10 years of your systems operation. Much like the ITC it reduces your federal income tax liability however is adjusted annually for inflation.
