Kansas Solar Systems are helping businesses utilize otherwise unused commercial building space by adding a ballasted roof mount solar array to their property’s flat roof. Commercial roof solar installations hold the great benefit of being able to be placed in an optimized direction.

An investment in commercial solar will allow you to generate electricity during your peak energy intensive hours and therefore reduce your demand on the grid.

In order to install solar, your roof will need to be surveyed by one of our certified NABCEP solar professionals. This survey comes at no cost to you. Our Team will be looking at your roof structure for loading bearing qualities, for obstructions such as skylights, exhausts, HVAC, hatches and other equipment located on your roof, for required Fire Department paths and codes, for municipality building codes as well as practical aspects such as shading and workable roof space area.

As soon as we know that there are no prohibitive factors, we can proceed. If however, we find that there are too many prohibitive features like shading or obstructions yet you have a parking lot or an outdoor seating area as part of your business, you may want to consider a solar carport or a solar integrated pergola. All are great options holding the same benefits for your business.

Please note: Your solar array will remain connected to the grid unless you choose an off grid solution.
