Solar Carport Solutions

A solar carport is a unique way to generate energy for your home via optimally orientated panels located on the carports roof space. Perfect for an integrated EV charge station, a great alternative to roof and ground mounts plus, it keeps your car cool and protected from the elements.

We offer two carport solutions, a solar integrated carport and a solar carport with integrated EV charging.

  • A solar integrated carport uses high efficiency panels to produce energy while also shading and protecting your vehicle from the elements.
  • A solar carport with an integrated EV charger carries the same benefits as a regular solar carport however has a built in EV Charger.

You can also complement both of these solutions by adding battery storage. All are great solutions and we’d love the opportunity to talk to you more about them.

Design Features

With our custom process any carport can be made to match an existing home or be a modern addition that stands out from the existing.

Every project willbe engineered with a structural engineer to ensure proper concrete footings and connections that will ensure our carports are providing a solid foundation for your solar array. Local and national codes will be followed to ensure wind loads that pose the biggest impact to open structures are considered. We will carefully plan to integrate lighting or EV chargers as desired.

OUR PREFERRED EQUIPMENT, TECHNOLOGY & ACCREDITATIONS

ENPHASE: IQ MICRO INVERTERS

Installed beneath your solar panels are micro inverters which essentially convert the DC (Direct Current) power the panel is generating into the form of electricity your home uses, AC (Alternating current).

We use Enphase’s industry leading IQ micro inverter series, our preferred residential solution however are happy to discuss other equipment options if they better match your needs.

NO SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE

Our IQ micro inverters offer better resilience and produce more energy than traditional string inverters. If one panel experiences a rare error or falls into partial shade the other panels will keep generating whereas with string inverters, if one panel cannot produce the whole string may go down.

When there are passing clouds and shadows or, there are low light conditions our micro inverters use Burst Mode™ technology which allows them to capture even more energy.
